Thinking about cleaning out your closets? Bring your household textiles and small electronics to CEC!

We’ll be recycling all kinds of clothing and household textiles, in any condition. Bring clothing, shoes, purses, bedding, towels, other textiles, and even soft plush toys you’re not using to us.

Illinois banned electronic waste from landfills in 2012 because they contain hazardous materials. If not properly recycled, these chemicals can make their way from landfills to contaminate our soil, water, and air. We will collect small electronics, but NOT TVs, monitors, batteries, or hazardous waste.

Items accepted include computers, tablets, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, small-scale servers, satellite and cable receivers, digital converter boxes, DVD players and recorders, VCRs, video game consoles, fax machines, portable digital music players, holiday lights, cell phones, modems, adapters, power supplies, cables, wires, and extension cords.

The more you donate, the less ends up in a landfill!
